We were very excited that Special Group confirmed as our agency partner for this year’s challenge, creating a brief alongside their client, Bonds, Australia. 


This year, the competition focused on creating campaigns for Bonds’ Bloody Comfy period undies, with Special Melbourne. The client challenge was to maintain Bonds’ leadership position, build brand awareness amongst youth, drive trial, and disrupt the category.

The winning team, Thrift Media from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, comprised Sean French, Shannon Kruss, Ruby Neal, and Lucy Wallbridge-Hall. Their compelling campaign and thorough strategy secured them the top spot. The highly commended runner-up was Team Antics from Auckland University of Technology (AUT), consisting of Anna Bayliss, Andee Raven Kenept, Tom Maker, and Nicholas Reidy.
